Post "Can you afford to live on moon?" - Sanjay Khandoori
Director of 1:40 Ki Last Local, Sanjay Khandoori, is on a different route currently. He has now joined a movement which is addressing

the issue of global warming and aiming at saving the earth by the hour!!!

As a part of the Mumbai based initiative, Sanjay is acting as a forerunner in his endeavor to spread awareness about global warming.

December 15th 2007 is the day when the movement intends to getting most of the cities in India to unplug their TV sets, Fridges,

Microwaves, Fans and Lights for one hour from 7:30pm - 8:30pm.

Says Khandoori, "According to Al Gore's docu-presentation - An Inconvenient Truth - we've got 8 years till the effects of global warming and

the harm we're doing to the world can be reversed. Now 8 years are well within our life times, aren't they?"

Stating further that all city residents can work together in spreading awareness about this movement, global warming is an enemy which has

already been there for a while and is already wreaking havoc.

The movement is taking the initiative heads on with number of people in Mumbai getting together to spread awareness about global

warming. Their common goal? Unplug!

Educates Khandoori, "The objective to join the movement is just a sense of responsibility towards the place I live in. We are seeing drastic

change in temperatures and weather every passing year. Dubai is snowing and UK is flooding. Temperature is increasing every passing day

pushing winters small to smaller."

Though the movement is currently Mumbai centric, it's participants have good reasons to believe that it would find it's way in other major

cities like Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Haryana, Gurgaon, Goa etc.

Sanjay Khandoori adds, "We know all this and talk everyday trying to show how threateningly amazing it is but do nothing to help the

situation. So I chose to be a part of group which is doing something about it and do what they ask me to do. It's not marathon I need to

run."

"Just get off the power for an hour and surely that much anyone responsible should do for the love of the planet they live on. Don't do that

only if you afford to live on moon," concludes Khandoori.

Remember the date and time: 15th December, 7:30pm - 8:30pm. It's your planet. And you can make a difference.
